Kingdom Support Fuels Kingdom Mission
2 Corinthians 9:8-11 says, "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, 'He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.' He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God."
One of the greatest joys we have in this life is to see the fruit of our investments. This is especially true in terms of seeing the fruit of investing in the Kingdom of God. When we offer a gift to God and then see Him turn around and use it in incredible ways, it is those moments that provide substance to our faith.
Our God is the Living God, there is no other like Him nor will there ever be. He does not need our tithes, our offerings, our gifts, but those things surrendered to Him and His purposes will be used in incredible ways to further His great name in this world. He blesses us in every way SO THAT we would be generous. Verse 11 reminds us that generosity, because of the blessings He has given us, will produce (ultimately) thanksgiving and honor to God.
Please consider how you can support the mission and the missionaries who are giving their lives to see the name of God honored in Cambodia. To God be the glory!
Meet the Team
The Barringer family (Isaac, Karen, Jaylin, and Lauryn) have been serving at Fir Road Christian Church for the past several years as a deacon and youth volunteers.
During that time they became convicted by the verse in Matthew 9:37-38, “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’” They began to ask "why not us?"
The Beck family (Eric, Elizabeth, Clara, Joshua, and Caleb) have been serving overseas in Chuncheon, South Korea as the lead pastor of an international church.
They are transitioning to the ministry in Cambodia with a single aim in mind "to follow the Spirit’s leading, to further the Kingdom of God, and to love as Christ loved." This aim drives everything else.
Philip and Grace Chung are the founders of Jubilee for Cambodia. The ministry began with a singular mission to reach the youth of Cambodia with the love of Christ.
It is their passion, as in Isaiah 61:1-2, "to preach tidings to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim Liberty to the captives and freedom to those who are in bondage."
